Oil-based colored pencil on maple plywood, stained with walnut ink on the reverse side.

A solid and soft piece, colorful but not garish.  Over several days, light layers of scribbly blue were added to the sky, to bring it to its current gradation and vibrance.

 

"A Red Holsomclown floats among the clouds like a nebulous tulip on its spindly stalk. The much-coveted orb finds relief from its constant exchange of ownership, content to lie - for a few moments at least - like the favorite rock of a most responsible otter."
