Over the last few thousand years, some mushrooms have evolved to have very round bottoms.  These voluptuous fungi bounce around the forest floor, like small semi-sentient rubber balls in the pinball machine of life.  
They enjoy sleeping in whatever small crevice or hollow log they find themselves stuck in at the end of the day.

These needle-felted mushrooms feature handmade glazed porcelain caps, made back in the summer of 2021.  These caps waited dutifully in a box for the day they might come in handy.  Luckily, after receiving Gastro Obscura for Christmas, and discovering the existence of fat tail sheep, these big butt mushrooms came into existence.

Process: Needle felted / kiln-fired

Care and Keeping:

Needle-felted works are very sturdy in many ways, but quite delicate in others! Please read on to find out how to keep your new piece in the best condition possible.

Spot clean only, please!
Washing machines will cause irreparable changes to the fibers.

Be wary of pets!
Many a good art doll has been mailed in for repairs after being snagged by a dog or cat.

Best if kept away from backpacks, dirt, etc
While it looks like a toy, this is a soft sculpture and is not meant to be excessively handled.

Not intended for small children
Rough play will fuzz up the fibers, and ceramic parts may pose a choking hazard.

Best thing I've ever bought

goat Pierrot never disappointments! The craftsmanship is always amazing, and the packaging is just perfect. Completely in love with this little mushroom
