This art doll was completed in June of 2022 and is made entirely of wool (domestically sourced), with a shape inspired by the magnificent Fat-Tailed Sheep.

Needle felting is a very slow and laborious process, especially when you are working with very soft, fine, fibers like Merino - this piece took around a day and a half to complete.

The process ends with burning away most of the loose hairs with a hot metal rod, which results in a smooth but still soft and fuzzy finish.

Material: Merino wool, in natural undyed white, black, yolk yellow, and mint green.
Process: Needle felted.
Rump: Small!
Size: 6 inches tall

Needle-felted works are very sturdy in many ways, but quite delicate in others! Please read on to find out how to keep your new piece in the best condition possible.

Spot clean only, please!
Washing machines will cause irreparable changes to the fibers.

Be wary of pets!
Many a good art doll has been mailed in for repairs after being snagged by a dog or cat.

Best if kept away from backpacks, dirt, etc
While it looks like a toy, this is a soft sculpture and is not meant to be excessively handled.
